the green diet. In preparation for the equinox we will be doing a little challenge, seven days of the green diet — join us if you feel called! Green symbolizes growth, fertility, and renewal and spring time is the best time to do this cleanse. Eat only green things, primarily vegetables, with an emphasis on leafy greens for calcium, seaweed for minerals, and avocado for healthy fats; with a few fruits (green apples, green grapes, kiwi, or pears) and pistachios to enrich the diet and keep the blood sugars balanced.

how it works. The green diet is alkaline and thus works on your acid-base balance with a focus on the alkaline. In doing so, you de-acidify your body and start a detoxification process in your liver, which eventually rebuilds your whole organism. Green food contains chlorophyll to varying degrees. This strengthens your immune system, protects your body from free radicals, and reoxygenates all the cells in your body.
